Parece que aprovechando la coyuntura creada por el retraso en la edición de “Years Of Refusal” (álbum cuya edición estaba prevista inicialmente para septiembre de este 2008, no verá la luz hasta el 2 de febrero del próximo 2009 a través de Universal), el próximo 6 de octubre, Warner se dispone a editar un nuevo DVD que recoge el concierto que Morrissey ofreció frente a 17.000 personas el 8 de junio del pasado año en el Hollywood Bowl de Los Angeles, actuación que supuso la vuelta del ex The Smiths a ese recinto 15 años después de haber actuado allí al frente de su legendaria banda.

Sorprendentemente, “Live At The Hollywool Bowl” verá la luz sin el consentimiento del artista, que no ha dudado en emitir un escueto comunicado distanciándose del lanzamiento e instando a sus fans a que no compren un DVD que se edita sin su autorización.
Completando esta estampa de desentendimiento, Warner planea editar unas semanas antes un nuevo recopilatorio de The Smiths. El disco, de nuevo publicado contra la voluntad de Morrissey, llevará por titulo “Hang The DJ: The Very Best Of” y verá la luz el próximo 15 de septiembre en formato de doble CD incluyendo hasta 46 canciones de la banda.
